The feature film the above excerpt was taken is a blend of fiction and documentary footage. The documentary gives us a direct glimpse into his life, orgone inventions such as the accumulator and some wild accusations. What can we really decipher from this film? The fictional elements do not at all feel congealed to Dr. Reich himself, as it takes place in a revolting Czech communist culture. The dark ending doesn’t seem to have anything to do with orgone or anything publicly published by Dr. Reich. The film still remains one of the very few public works delving into his controversial concept of orgone energy.
The Mysteries of the Organism give a brief glimpse into his world. The dark undertones on the film are very bizarre given Wilhelm’s disdain for trauma, and his advanced knowledge of the energetic body.
